Line Up

  • Tommy Destructo - Guitar /Vocals
  • JD - Bass /Vocals
  • Squat - Drums
Los Destructos formed around March 1997 with the original line-up of Tommy (on drums /vocals), JD and guitarist /vocalist, Roddy McGhie. Dodgy local gigs were played while the band crafted their shoddy playing skills into a shambling, drunken mess. A six track demo was recorded at the end of '97 and after a good response from fanzines they decided to record a 7" ep and put it out as the first release on Self Destruct. This came out in August '98. When the Stinking Polecats toured the UK in November that year a deal was struck at the Self Destruct "office" to release a split 7" with the two bands and that came out in March '99. That year saw the band hit the road playing gigs around the UK and mainland Europe. The line-up briefly expanded to a 4 piece with Tommy moving to 2nd guitar and new drummer Squat joining the fold. Unfortunately Roddy was unable to tour due to work commitments so it was back to a three piece and the present line-up was born.
Into 2000 and Los Destructos kicked of the new millenium with a UK tour with fellow Glasgow punks Ex-Cathedra and a tour in France with Road Rage. The "Point Of Existence" mini-cd came out in November and there is an album recorded and ready to go sometime in Spring 2001.
